Today marks the start of the Revolutionary War encampment where I grew up in Rebel Hill and Gulph Mills. From 12/13/1777 until they marched to Valley Forge on 12/19, George Washington and the Continental Army encamped on my little hill. So much of significance happened during those six days, including the new nation’s first Thanksgiving and the decision to camp for the winter at Valley Forge. Check out my 2019 article in the Journal of the American Revolution showing the events day by day, below, and my novel, Becoming Valley Forge, and mini-ebook, Six Days in December, on Amazon or http://www.theelevatorgroup.com.
